2. Credit System Overview

Helix operates on a prepaid credit system. Users purchase credits which are then used to access our AI services and marketplace offerings.

  • Exchange Rate: 10 credits = $1 USD (or equivalent in local currency)
  • No Expiration: Purchased credits never expire
  • Non-Transferable: Credits cannot be transferred between accounts
  • Single Currency: Credits are denominated in USD equivalent

4. Payment Processing

4.1 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through our certified payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

Credits are typically added to your account promptly upon successful payment. In some cases, processing may take a few minutes.

4.3 Payment Confirmation

Upon successful payment, you will receive:

  • An on-screen confirmation with transaction details
  • An email receipt sent to your registered email address
  • Updated credit balance in your account dashboard

5. Pricing and Currency

5.1 Displayed Prices

All prices displayed on the platform are in USD unless otherwise indicated. Prices include any applicable platform fees.

5.2 Taxes

Applicable taxes, if any, will be calculated and displayed before payment confirmation based on your billing address and applicable local regulations.

5.3 Currency Conversion

If your payment card is denominated in a currency other than USD, your card issuer will perform the currency conversion. Exchange rates and any conversion fees are determined by your card issuer or bank.

6. Payment Security

6.1 Data Encryption

All payment transactions are encrypted using TLS 1.3 or higher. Your payment information is transmitted directly to our payment processor and is never stored on our servers.

6.2 3D Secure Authentication

We support 3D Secure (3DS) authentication for card payments, providing an additional layer of security. Your bank may require you to complete 3DS verification for certain transactions.

6.3 Fraud Prevention

We employ advanced fraud detection measures to protect your account:

  • Real-time transaction monitoring
  • Machine learning-based fraud detection
  • Velocity checks on purchase patterns
  • Address verification services (AVS)
  • Card verification value (CVV) validation

7. Failed Payments

If a payment fails, you will be notified immediately with the reason for failure. Common reasons include:

  • Insufficient funds
  • Card expired or invalid
  • Transaction declined by issuing bank
  • 3D Secure authentication failure
  • Suspected fraudulent activity

If your payment fails, no credits will be added to your account and no charges will be made. You may retry the payment or use an alternative payment method.

8. Refunds and Disputes

8.1 Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be available in the following circumstances:

  • Unused credits within the EU 14-day withdrawal period
  • Technical errors resulting in incorrect charges
  • Duplicate transactions
  • Service unavailability as per our SLA

8.2 Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method:

  • Card Payments: 5-10 business days
  • Digital Wallets: 3-5 business days

8.3 Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is unauthorized, please contact us first at payments@helixai.academy. Filing a chargeback with your bank without attempting to resolve the issue with us may result in account suspension pending investigation.

9. Invoices and Receipts

9.1 Automatic Receipts

Email receipts are automatically sent for all successful transactions to your registered email address.

9.2 Invoice Access

All invoices are available in your account dashboard under Wallet > Transaction History. Invoices can be downloaded in PDF format.

9.3 Invoice Details

Each invoice includes:

  • Unique invoice number
  • Transaction date and time
  • Amount charged
  • Payment method used (last 4 digits)
  • Credits purchased
  • Our company details

10. Credit Packages

Credits are available in various package sizes. Larger packages may offer volume discounts. Available packages and current pricing are displayed on our Pricing page.

Package pricing is subject to change. Any price changes will not affect credits already purchased.

11. Platform Fees

Helix charges a platform fee on marketplace transactions:

  • Platform Fee: 20% of transaction value
  • Specialist/Photographer Payout: 80% of service/license price

Platform fees are automatically deducted and are clearly displayed before any transaction is confirmed.

12. Specialist and Photographer Payouts

12.1 Payout Schedule

Earnings from completed orders and licensed photos are available for withdrawal after a 7-day holding period to allow for potential disputes or refunds.

12.2 Payout Methods

Payouts are processed to your connected payout account. Supported payout methods vary by country and may include direct deposit to your bank account.

12.3 Minimum Payout

A minimum balance may be required before requesting a payout. Current minimum payout thresholds are displayed in your dashboard.

13. Compliance

Our payment processing complies with:

  • Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS)
  • EU Payment Services Directive (PSD2)
  • Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) requirements
